Soriano Says, Gay Is Okay


There's no denying that homosexuality thrives with acceptance and there was a time when people would hide their unnatural sexual preference. But as more and more people disobeyed God, more and more people accepted homosexuality as a fact of life. The Bible speaks of homosexuality very clearly. It defines it as a man sleeping with another man, and a woman sleeping with another woman. The Bible also clearly states that homosexuality is detestable to God. It is an abomination in His sight. And that such acts of homosexuality merits a fate reserved for God's fiery finale of this world. Imagine how God feels about homosexuals, that He fast-forwarded judgement on Sodom and Gomorrah. Those homosexuals got the best sneak preview of Hellfire ever!

The businessman in Eli Soriano sees yet another income generating potential with the so called "third sex". What God says is "an abomination", Soriano calls "natural". What God says is "detestable", Soriano says "is okay". What could possibly come out of contradicting God so blatantly as this? Money of course. Much needed money that will be generated by Soriano's cult (MCGI) as its membership will swell with the acceptance of homosexuals in their ranks. This of course is "backed up by the Bible" according to Soriano. But as we have learned, when it comes to Soriano doctrines, it would be good to take them with a grain of salt. Make that a sackful for this one.

You would wonder how Soriano weaves his lies into Scripture. Well, wonder no more, for he uses the devil's very own formula. Mixing lies with truths, and delivering it with lots of charisma in order to be convincing. Any person listening to Soriano that is not rooted in the Bible will be easily fooled. He'll sound no less than prophetic with the way he baits listeners. In no time at all he has them hook, line, and sinker.

So how does Soriano convince homosexuals (and the rest of his followers) that heaven awaits men who sleep with men and women who sleep with women? He begins by stating that God can do anything. [ Wait a minute... wasn't Soriano the same heretic who said God cannot do everything?] Soriano cites Romans 9:20 "Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed [it], Why hast thou made me thus?". With this Soriano says that gays are made by God. God made gays, and gays can't do anything about it. Truth that God can do anything is mixed with the lie that God made gays (because He can do anything)... so argues Soriano.

He follows this up quickly with the challenge that gays are not possibly from Satan. God is the one who creates, not Satan. Satan he says, only destroys what God has made. God is the one who made even the handicaps of the deaf and dumb. Exodus 4:11, "And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD?" There's another mixture of truth and lie right there. Where does it say that gays are included in the enumeration on that verse? There is none. Yet Soriano uses this verse to reinforce his earlier statement that God made all people, gays included.

Have you noticed that Soriano keeps injecting 'gays' in verses where there is none? He is trying to tell homosexuals that homosexuality is a handicap, not a sin.

Such a liar this guy, huh?

His message of hope for gay people is half-cooked with this teaching. God does not respect persons (Romans 2:11) and that He is not slack in his promise of redemption for ALL (2 Peter 3:9). So whether you are straight, gay, lesbian, or bi, God does not want you to perish. He caps this off with 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God."

It all sounds good and it should. It all came from the Bible. But I say it is half-cooked because Soriano uses these passages without driving the important point home. That sinners need to repent first! He leaves this vital information hanging in the wind to draw the homosexuals into joining his cult. He knows that acceptance is what gays crave most. And with the millions of gays around, he'd have his coffers full again. Soriano's deceit is masked by his use of Scripture. Hiding in the promise that through his true church (MCGI) salvation is possible. Heaven awaits all, even homosexuals.

Wait another minute, homosexuals are allowed entry, but not women?

The truth is, it is the Bible that gives hope of salvation to homosexuals, not Soriano. The Bible tells homosexuals to change their ways for their ways are evil. Soriano only tells them the first part to get them lining up for membership. He tells them it is not a sin to be a homosexual because it flows naturally with the person, and they are not sinning at all. Is he exhibiting his infamous ignorance again? How can a homosexual not be sinning? If a man sleeps with another man, he's a homosexual... if he doesn't, he's not homosexual and not sinning. It's that simple isn't it? But this simplicity is also what Soriano uses to be ambiguous with his teaching. And he reels in his catch of homosexuals who think God will let them into heaven just because they are His creation too.

Soriano leaves out the true meaning of redemption in Christ. That Jesus has the power to cleanse sin and change lives. No matter how crookedly homosexual one is, God will turn him back from his sinful life. He does not need to become a member of Soriano's cult for acceptance. God will accept him regardless of anything if he repents his sins and follow God's will. He needs to accept Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior, and invite Jesus to reside in his heart. Change will come from within his being because of Christ. Not because he joined Soriano's cult.

Soriano Defends Bad Words


In this post let's take a look at what sets Soriano apart from his contemporaries. By contemporaries I mean fellow cult leaders. Don't mistake the MCGI (Members, Church of Christ International) for a legitimate religion because it's not. It's a cult, no matter how fervently Soriano denies it.  It exhibits all the signs of Satan's handiwork and its forerunner is none other than potty-mouthed Eliseo Soriano.

I guess this is part of Soriano's strategy... to defame and demean. So it's no wonder why he has the ire of many church leaders. He gets ripped left and right and he enjoys it. Why? Because he gets to cuss angrily on air, to the twisted delight of his fanatics. It gives him notoriety. And it in turn translates into ratings, and ratings into money. You should see him get irked and melt the speakers off your TV with his constant swearing.

How can a supposed sent of God be such a foul mouth?
Easy, God didn't send Soriano, the devil did.

Nothing about Soriano merits any association with God. His obscenities alone show that. With the spitting like a goon and the swearing like a common potty mouth, he's showing his true colors. And what does he do instead of apologizing to viewers both young and old alike for his behavior? He defends his actions by claiming God allows it! That cussing is the sense of the Bible (whatever that means). That God did not put any prohibition on such foul words, and that even God Himself said bad words in the good book. What more do people need to hear from this loony to realize they are following an evil man? Soriano continues to say that determining  when and to whom bad words are to be used is to the Christian's discretion. And since God did not say "don't use bad words", why shouldn't Christians call a fool a fool? In short he is saying that it's okay for Christians to cuss the way he does because he is just being real. He says he is no mere illusion (of sainthood)?

He is what he is. A heretic indeed.

The trouble with Soriano's argument is it comes at the listener with an air of truth in it. Sure there is no single verse in the Bible that explicitly says "do not cuss" the way Soriano likes to read it, but it is abundantly clear that what comes out of our mouths come from our hearts. “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.” (Luke 6:45) Is there any doubt that what's in Soriano's heart is nothing but evil? Would you continue to listen to his hogwash with a side dish of obscenities? Protect your ears and the ears of your children from this worker of evil.

The Bible tells us that it is a sin to cuss or swear. That's a fact Soriano would not bring up. Because it will be very damaging to his justifications. The Bible tells us, "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers."(Ephesians 4:29) and "For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile." (1 Peter 3:10)  These two verses alone destroys his defense and exposes his wickedness. His hollow claim of being the "sent of God" rings more loudly with his obvious ignorance of these convicting words from the Bible.

Our Christian lives should not be characterized by evil speech the way Soriano is trying to tell us through his blasphemous claims. Why would a God so perfect and pure condone Soriano's gutter vocabulary? To what benefit would it be for people to follow Soriano? None. He will only and surely lead people to destruction instead of salvation. For how can he claim to do as God wills when he praises and curses with the same mouth? "With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water." (James 3:9-12)

What have we proven here? That Soriano is NOT of God. His inner being is displayed for all to see. His thoughts, actions and words. His swearing and cursing is evidence of the wickedness in his heart. While it is true that even workers of God are susceptible to sin because the enemy is constantly attacking believers, it is shamefully uncharacteristic of a Christian to wantonly exhibit a distasteful vocabulary. Shield your ears folks, spare your children too. For even without salvation and God in the picture, gutter language should be frowned upon in society.
